Graduates earn 1,137 degrees from the New England Institute of Technology


About 28.2 percent of the 1,137 degrees and certificates handed out by the New England Institute of Technology in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Greenwich conferred 256 associate's degrees and 40 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in automobile/automotive mechanics technology/technician. Data shows the school gave out 80 associate's degrees in automobile/automotive mechanics technology/technician, followed by 69 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 56 associate's degrees in occupational therapist assistant.

The institute enrolled 2,793 students for 2017-18, including 2,658 in undergraduate programs and 135 in graduate programs.
