9.5 percent of Roger Williams University students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 9.5 percentage of Roger Williams University students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Roger Williams University has 4,703 undergraduate students, of which 53 percent are women and 47 percent are men, and a total student body of 5,024 students. Of these students, 238 men and 239 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Roger Williams University with the most participants are lacrosse (59), soccer (58) and swimming and diving (52).
